Dr. Charles M. Stuhr, DVM, ACVO
I was born and raised in San Francisco, earned my BS in Biological Sciences at UC Davis in 1985 and my DVM from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1990. My internship was at a multispecialty practice at the Sacramento Animal Medical Group where I spent a total of 4 years in general practice before obtaining Diplomate status in Veterinary Ophthalmology from UW Madison in 1997. My time in general practice and focus on clinical medicine and surgery has given me a keen perspective on managing all facets of your pet’s eye problems. I try to balance the practical with the technical so together we can make educated decisions. I have surrounded myself with a fabulous staff so that you can feel comfortable trusting us to answer your questions and take care of your pet’s needs. |

Lisa-Marie, Manager
Welcome to the Animal Eye Clinic! I am the practice manager of the clinic. In July of 2001 I joined the Animal Eye Clinic team shortly after Dr. Stuhr purchased the practice. My extensive management background with an emphasis on building and maintaining a positive team environment quickly made me a vital member here at the clinic. It is with enthusiasm that I strive to make sure our patients’ time spent at the Animal Eye Clinic is a positive and warmhearted experience. I have surrounded myself with dedicated individuals and trained them to the highest standards. I continually encourage and monitor the never-ending growth of the staff and handle all matters with a no nonsense but sensitive approach when needed. In collaboration with the doctor, we turned our clinic into a happy, productive and successful place to work. As you may not see me quietly running around behind the scenes, it is with pride I ask you to trust your pets’ care in the hands of this five star team. |

Chris, Technician
Hi, I’m Chris the senior technician here at the Animal Eye Clinic. I came to the clinic in October 2001 and brought to the team my desire to learn and excel in life. When I started I began as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. My enthusiasm and keen attention to detail turned me into the experienced technician I am today. I’m amazed everyday that I found a place to work that I call my job but consider my co-workers family. At home, my extended family includes four chubby orange cats (Phoenix, Jasper, Skye & Cinder) as well as some various lizards and arachnids. I look forward to seeing you at the clinic! |

Christina, Technician
I joined the Animal Eye clinic staff in May of 2002 and instantly knew I had found the job I have always wanted as well as a second family. Prior to joining the team I graduated with a degree in math and science. I started off as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. I have worked very hard the past few years and am now trained as a skilled veterinary technician. In addition to working at the Animal Eye Clinic, I also work as a technician at a local emergency clinic. When I’m not working or napping with my 8 year old cat Lucy, I attend kickboxing classes, I’m currently a red belt. |

Gretchen, Veterinary Assistant
How did I join the Animal Eye Clinic Family? I started in October of 2005. Prior, I worked at a local pet store for 5 years where I worked my way up to the manager. When I joined the Animal Eye Clinic crew I brought my dedication, strong work ethic and passion to learn. I am a receptionist and veterinary assistant here and patient care is my number one concern, same as the rest of the team. I love having the opportunity to assist owners with their pets’ questions and concerns. I strive to give all of our patients the same care and compassion I do my own pets. Outside of work I’m doing one of two things: Bonding with my new rescue, a retired racing greyhound, Calvin or planning my wedding to my fiancé Justin this July! |

Suzanne, Veterinary Assistant
I’m the youngest member of the Animal Eye Clinic family. I work as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. I began in September 2008, just after my wedding to my wonderful husband Anthony. I also have recently graduated from Nyack College with and English degree in June of 2008. I take pride in my work at the clinic and love that the time I spend at work is with friends. It is my pleasure to welcome all of our furry patients and their owners with a friendly smile every day. It is also my priority to give all of our patients the respect and caring they deserve while at the clinic. Every day at the Animal Eye Clinic is a learning experience and I’m overjoyed to be part of such a fantastic team. In my leisure time I like to bake and spend time with my husband hiking. |
