Our Staff

Chuck Stuhr, Veterinary Ophthalmologist Dr. Charles M. Stuhr, DVM, ACVO

I was born and raised in San Francisco, earned my BS in Biological Sciences at UC Davis in 1985 and my DVM from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1990. My internship was at a multispecialty practice at the Sacramento Animal Medical Group where I spent a total of 4 years in general practice before obtaining Diplomate status in Veterinary Ophthalmology from UW Madison in 1997. My time in general practice and focus on clinical medicine and surgery has given me a keen perspective on managing all facets of your pet’s eye problems. I try to balance the practical with the technical so together we can make educated decisions. I have surrounded myself with a fabulous staff so that you can feel comfortable trusting us to answer your questions and take care of your pet’s needs.

lisa-marie Lisa-Marie, Manager

Welcome to the Animal Eye Clinic! I am the practice manager of the clinic. In July of 2001 I joined the Animal Eye Clinic team shortly after Dr. Stuhr purchased the practice. My extensive management background with an emphasis on building and maintaining a positive team environment quickly made me a vital member here at the clinic. It is with enthusiasm that I strive to make sure our patients’ time spent at the Animal Eye Clinic is a positive and warmhearted experience. I have surrounded myself with dedicated individuals and trained them to the highest standards. I continually encourage and monitor the never-ending growth of the staff and handle all matters with a no nonsense but sensitive approach when needed. In collaboration with the doctor, we turned our clinic into a happy, productive and successful place to work. As you may not see me quietly running around behind the scenes, it is with pride I ask you to trust your pets’ care in the hands of this five star team.

omg 016a Chris, Technician

Hi, I’m Chris the senior technician here at the Animal Eye Clinic. I came to the clinic in October 2001 and brought to the team my desire to learn and excel in life. When I started I began as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. My enthusiasm and keen attention to detail turned me into the experienced technician I am today. I’m amazed everyday that I found a place to work that I call my job but consider my co-workers family. In 2010, I spent time broadening my horizons by travelling through Europe. I am also currently studying massage therapy. My hobbies include kickboxing and outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, skiing and even skydiving! My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip with coconut sprinkles! I look forward to seeing you at the clinic!

Suzanne Suzanne, Veterinary Assistant

After graduating from college in May of 2008 with a degree in English, I joined the staff at the Animal Eye Clinic in September as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. I take pride in my work at the clinic and I love that the time I spend at work is with my second family. It is my priority to give all your pets the respect and care they deserve while at the clinic, and treat each one as if they were my own. In July 2010 I adopted Weasley, one of the sweetest orange cats you will ever meet! When I am not playing with him, I love to bake cupcakes, hike and attend roller derby bouts! My favorite flavor ice cream is mint chocolate chip with Oreo topping!

Ryan1 9-2016 Ryan, Veterinary Assistant

Hi! My name is Ryan and I joined the team in February 2016. I have quickly grown fond of my new family here. My love of animals makes this job a perfect fit. Our family dogs include a Puggle named Barney and a Chihuahua mix named Reggie. When I am not working at the Animal Eye Clinic I work on video game art and animation. You may have played my creation Gravity Lab on your device! My favorite ice cream is black raspberry. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
